SYNOPSIS
Milli has been admitted into The Forest to pursue her dreams of becoming a scientist. Her initial plans are upended, but she receives two gifts: the friendship of an abandoned animated container, Ice Bucket, and encouragement to investigate the mysterious organisms called Strands. No one knows how they generate their forms—threads of shimmery beads of different shapes and sizes—and why they are so diverse. Milli’s resourcefulness gets her up to the mountains to finally see wild Strands, where both a wonderful discovery and a painful truth about life in The Forest await her. A charming adventure tale, inspired by the actual joys and sorrows of scientific training, The Little Scientist shows how studying life can change your own.
